" Safari " - This word, coming from Ki-Swahili and meaning a journey or trip, is loaded with magic.
All safaris that Drumbeat Safaris conducts are so called "Mobile Safaris".
These trips have been our speciality from the beginning.
During our safari the camp gets taken down and put up by our staff at a different location every second or third day.
The equipment is moved by a back-up vehicle and camp will be up upon our arrival at the new campsite. This maximises the time we can spend game viewing and gives us the opportunity to explore different wildlife areas of Botswana.
We will make an itinerary that is based on your ideas. A well known route is from Maun, via Moremi, Savuti and Chobe to Kasane, but we also visit the Kalahari Game Reserve, Nxai Pan National Park and the Salt Pans. You, along with our guidance, can tailor-make your own safari. Many families, friends and colleagues have experienced Botswana with us on a Private Mobile Safari and it is definitely the best way of enjoying Africa!.

· Equipment
Our tents are classic walk-in safari tents, with proper beds with mattresses and all linen provided.
The “short-drop”toilet and bucket shower are en-suite, accessible through a zip at the back of the tent.
All tents have a light inside and amenities like soap, shampoo, body lotion etc. are provided.
Our vehicles are open game viewers, with comfortable chairs and space to store your belongings. A fridge on board supplies cold drinks and there is a possibility to charge batteries etc. in the car. We also have a charging station in camp.

· Meals
Our healthy meals are taken in our mess tent or in the open if the weather permits. We serve a light breakfast before going out on a game drive in the morning. Upon return in camp a brunch is served, and a three-course, candlelight dinner under the stars is the best way to end an African day in the bush.
